How to Use this License…

The Orka Game Engine License allows for individuals and organizations use of the Orka Game Engine. The following provides instructions on how to use the license followed by the license itself. The OGE Logo and Orka Game Engine License are included below.

Standalone Game
If you are using the OGE to make a standalone game, include the following in your product…

• OGE Logo
• the attribution text from section 2.1
• Sections I, II, and IV of this license in the product.

Far Away Land RPG Content

If you are using the OGE to make content for the OGE version of the Far Away Land Role-Playing Game, include the following in your product…

• OGE Logo
• the attribution text from section 3.2
• Sections I, II, III and IV of this license in the product.

Orka Game Engine License (OGEL)

I. Basic Terms of this License

1.1 Under terms of this license you are free to share, copy, and distribute the content of the Orka Game Engine (OGE) in any medium or format.

1.2 You are allowed to build upon the Orka Game Engine for any purpose, even commercially.

1.3 As licensor, Simian Circle Games LLC. cannot revoke the terms of this license as long as you follow the license terms in sections II and IV, and when applicable, section III of this license.

II. Terms of this License

2.1 You must give appropriate credit when using this license. The following language should be included following your copyright information.

This game uses the Orka Game Engine written and developed by Simian Circle Games LLC. and    licensed for use in this product under the Orka Game Engine License.

2.2 This license must appear in full in any product using the Orka Game Engine.

2.3 No product can include “Orka Game Engine” or “Orka Gaming Engine” or “OGE” in its title.

2.4 The OGE Logo must be placed prominently on exterior covers of print and electronic product covers, as well as on title/credit interior pages. For print or electronic products without covers, it must be placed on the first or last page of the product.

2.5 The OGE Logo may be placed at any size desired, but must retain the same dimensions as the standard version, and must remain legible.

2.6 Any use of the OGE Logo must include the required text from either section 2.1 or 3.2 following the copyright section in your product. 

2.7 You agree not to use the OGE Logo in conjunction with illegal activities or any form of hate speech.

2.8 You agree to indemnify Simian Circle Games LLC. against any claims made against products produced through your licensed use of the OGE Logo.

2.9 You do not need explicit permission from Simian Circle Games LLC. to use the OGE Logo.

2.10 The OGE Logo may be used royalty-free on print and electronic products, as well as websites and advertising relating to products that fulfill the terms of this license while in compliance.

2.11 You agree to allow Simian Circle Games LLC. to use the title of your products and/or contributor names from your products communications regarding usage of the OGE.

III. Far Away Land Role-Playing Game Content

3.1 If using this license to produce content for the OGE version of the Far Away Land Role-Playing Game, the following must be also included and adhered to in addition to the previous sections of this license.

3.2 This license allows for the creation and distribution (even for commercial purposes) of content related to the OGE version (and only the OGE version) of the Far Away Land Role-Playing Game. Any content produced for the OGE version of the Far Away Land Role-Playing Game must include the following text following your own copyright information.

This game uses the Orka Game Engine written and developed by Simian Circle Games LLC. and licensed for use in this product under the Orka Game Engine License. The content in this product is third party created material and not considered part of the Far Away Land canon or primary storyline. Any Far Away Land content under copyright by Simian Circle Games LLC. used in this product is used with written permission from Simian Circle Games LLC. 

3.3 Use of any current or future Far Away Land content produced and under copyright by Simian Circle Games LLC. requires written permission from Simian Circle Games LLC. for said content used in your product.

IV. Compliance with this License

4.1 Failure to adhere to the terms of this license may result in termination of the license and the ability to use the OGE Logo on one or more products for individuals or organizations. If this occurs, sale of any affected products must cease immediately, and all advertising and promotional use of the OGE Logo and this license must stop. You must immediately suspend sale of all products using the OGE Logo, as well as suspend all advertising and promotional use of the OGE Logo, until your products no longer include the OGE Logo.

4.2 The OGE can be revoked or terminated for any reason by Simian Circle Games LLC. If this occurs, all products using the OGE Logo must remove it from use within 6 months of notice.
